Eczema & Skin Issues

Skin symptoms are frustrating — especially when they linger and flare. Eczema, dry patches, rashes and redness are common issues that reflect what's happening beneath the surface. The skin shows a glimpse into how well the body is managing fluids, minerals and tissue repair at the cellular level.

Key Roles of the Skin

The skin is responsible for release and elimination, moisture regulation, and tissue repair. When these processes are off, patterns begin to show up: dry, cracked or rough skin, weeping or oozing patches, red inflamed areas, itching that comes and goes, and slow healing.

The Eczema Pattern

Eczema often carries a mix of dryness and irritation, inflammation and sensitivity, and flare cycles that improve then worsen again. It's important to note the pattern, because each expression points to a slightly different mineral need.

Cell Salts for Skin & Eczema

Cell salts support the underlying processes the skin depends on — repair, fluid balance and healthy turnover.

Calc Fluor (1) Elasticity, Cracks & Resilience supports skin that feels dry, tight or cracked, thickened or rough, or prone to splitting at the heels, hands and lips. This is the salt of structure and flexibility — helping skin hold together with the right amount of elasticity.

Calc Sulph (3) Slow Healing & Lingering Irritation is often helpful when skin isn't clearing fully, patches linger or return, or there's mild discharge or irritation. This supports the final stages of repair — when the skin is trying to finish healing but can't quite complete the process.

Kali Mur (5) addresses skin that looks slightly flaky, powdery or built up — dry powdery flakes, pale or whitish patches, mild swelling or congestion in the tissue. This is more of a surface-level imbalance where skin turnover and shedding aren't moving cleanly.

Kali Sulph (7) Shifting, Changing Patterns is helpful when eczema moves around, symptoms come and go, skin looks yellowish or uneven, or it worsens in warm rooms. This is the salt of movement and oxygen at the surface — supporting healthy skin renewal.

Nat Mur (9) Dryness with Sensitivity addresses very dry skin especially at the lips or folds, cracking at corners of the mouth or eyes, sensitivity to sun or heat, and that paradox of watery yet dry at the same time. This is a key salt for fluid balance — helping the body distribute moisture where it's needed.

Silicea (12) Delicate, Slow-to-Repair Skin supports thin or fragile skin, slow healing, recurrent skin issues, and skin that “doesn't bounce back.” This supports deeper rebuilding and strength over time.

How to Think About Combinations

Skin issues rarely point to just one salt. Most eczema patterns involve a combination: dry and cracked points to Calc Fluor and Nat Mur, flaky and sluggish to Kali Mur and Calc Sulph, shifting and inflamed to Kali Sulph and Nat Mur, and slow repair to Calc Sulph and Silicea.

The Skin and Mineral Connection

These are all variations of the same conversation the body is having through the skin — a baby with red irritated cheeks, a child with dry patches behind the knees or elbows, skin rashes that improve then flare again, cracking hands every winter, chapped lips that keep returning, or skin that lacks elasticity and appears prematurely aged. Children's skin often responds quickly to cell salts because their systems are still flexible and responsive.

Not Sure Where to Start?

The Daily Blend combines all 12 cell salts in a single formula. Because eczema can be complex, multiple mineral patterns may be involved. Rather than trying to identify a single salt from the beginning, many people find it helpful to start with a broad foundation. As individual patterns become clearer, single salts can also be layered in as needed.
